Created in early 2007 as a way to give back to the community, The Duane Reade Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting charitable activities through funding and product donations in the communities where we live and work. Health and wellness is the primary area of focus for our giving, and the majority of our contribution budget is allocated to support health organizations that address the needs of the community in which we serve. We also support programs that address local community needs, and that focus on the growth and development of communities in the New York Metro area.
Since its inception the Duane Reade Charitable Foundation has donated over 5 Million dollars to causes large and small throughout the city. This includes annual support for the AIDS Walk New York/GMHC, the New York chapters of The Susan G. Komen Foundation, The American Diabetes Association, Volunteers of America and City Harvest; as well as recent support for organizations of the New York community such as Tunnels to Towers, City Meals on Wheels and many other outstanding causes.
The Duane Reade Charitable Foundation is committed to aiding local charities that support the health and well-being of New Yorkers.
